THE DEATH OF A FATHER AND A SON

On the banks of the Tigris River in a small village, Nizam kills his domineering father after a violent confrontation and is left alone. The villagers place him in the house of Mir, a bedridden former village chief who has lost his power after the deaths of his four sons. Forced to care for Mir and serve the villagers, Nizam endures their oppression while secretly shaping himself into the image of Mir’s heroized, long-dead son, Ali. In trying to revive Mir’s authority in the village, Nizam fully takes on Ali’s identity, but the villagers respond with harsh consequences.
